Follow The Paper Trail by Train, a Berkshire Scenic Railway event
By the mid-1800’s there were hundreds of paper mills in Massachusetts. All of them were located near canals or rivers, in order to get power and water need for the manufacturing process. Enjoy a historic journey down the Berkshire Line as we learn and explore the paper manufacturing industry of the past, present and future, from Lenox to Lee and Stockbridge. Enjoy informative presentations on board the train and at Lenox and Stockbridge stations. Box dinners will be available for pre-purchase.
Paper makers and former paper makers will have a special price, sponsored by Housatonic Heritage.
For more information, see the Berkshire Scenic Railway site.
